Hello Alex Docs
Ask Alex
Ask questions about your account and get answers from your own data. Read the Alex Assistant guide in Hello Alex documentation.
Overview
Alex answers questions about your own workspace — how many calls you ran, how a pathway behaved, what a particular call sounded like, what you have spent — so you can ask in plain language instead of assembling the answer from several screens yourself.
How it works
- Open Alex from the sidebar, type a question the way you would ask a colleague, and the answer comes back with a short work log you can expand to see the steps it took.
- Every answer is read from your own account at the moment you ask, so a number in an answer is the number in your account right then, not a figure carried over from an earlier chat.
- Paste a Conversation ID from Call History and Alex reads that call — what was said, where it ended, why it ended that way — and answers about that call specifically.
- Alex reads; it never changes anything. Nothing in your account moves because of an answer, and a suggestion in the pathway builder is applied only when you choose to apply it.
- Your chats are kept, so you can reopen an earlier question from Recent chats and continue it.
Important fields
- Work log: The steps behind an answer, in plain words. Expand it to see what Alex looked at.
- Recent chats: Earlier conversations, newest first. Opening one restores the full thread.
- Conversation ID: Paste one from Call History and the answer is about that call.
Use cases
- A quick read on yesterday's calls without opening reports
- Understanding why one call ended where it did
- Checking spend and usage before a launch
Tips
- Good to know: Alex only ever sees your own company's data. It cannot read another customer's calls, pathways or spend, and it will say so rather than guess.
- Good to know: a question with no numbers to read — a general how-to — is answered from the guides you are reading now.
- If an answer looks wrong, expand the work log: it names what was read, and a step that returned nothing is marked.
Next step
Ask Alex how many calls you ran this week, then open one of them from Call History.
