## Overview

Quick Start helps you go from a new workspace to a real phone conversation with Alex in minutes. You use it to validate your setup early, so you can improve the experience before scaling call volume.

By testing the full path end to end, you confirm your pathway logic, voice settings, and phone routing all work together under real conditions.

## How it works

- You begin by creating a simple pathway with a clear greeting and one primary outcome, which gives Alex a predictable script and makes early call results easier to interpret.
- After you connect a phone number and assign the pathway, inbound or outbound traffic can flow through the same configured experience, so your tests reflect how callers will actually hear and navigate the conversation.
- When you launch a test call and review Call History, you can tie call behavior back to pathway decisions, then refine prompts or branches to improve clarity, completion rate, and handoff quality.

## Important fields

- **Pathway:** The call flow Alex follows, including what to say, what to listen for, and how to route each outcome when a caller responds.
- **Voice:** The synthesized speaking style your caller hears, which affects tone, pace, and how natural the conversation sounds.
- **Caller ID:** The phone number shown to the recipient on outbound calls, which helps recipients recognize your business and improves answer rates.

## Tips

- Start with a narrow pathway that handles one clear intent, then expand once test calls sound consistent. Running a quick Chat and Test pass before live dialing usually saves credits and faster iteration cycles.
